SE «АVIAKON» and Polish Company PCO S.A. signed Contract for delivery of night vision goggles and aviation helmets

In spite of the complicated political situation in the country, Ukraine is progressing in development of military and technical co-operation with other countries, at that reaching strong results. One of the latest examples of such an effective co-operation of representatives of our Military and Industrial Complex with foreign partners is the Contract, concluded between the State Enterprise “Konotop Aircraft Repair Plant “AVIAKON” and Polish company PCO S.A. Under it the Polish side is to supply night vision goggles (NVG) and aviation helmets for Ukrainian Mi-series helicopters being upgraded at the Ukrainian enterprise.

The Contract, signed between the Ukrainian and Polish companies is the result of their negotiations within a framework of Ukrainian and Polish Military and Industrial Complexes Co-operation Forum meetings held in May, 2013 in Warsaw and in November, 2013 in Kiev. At that the participation in the Forum was not the only attempt of the Polish company in development of Ukrainian market. Thus, besides the forum itself, PCO S.A. was widely represented at "Armament and Security-2013" exhibition, which was held last year in September in Kiev. Notably the Polish company presented there a wide variety of products, manufactured by it, and if quoting PCO S. A. representatives, their quality was highly evaluated by Ukrainian specialists. This, in its turn, gave the Polish side reliable basis to hope for fruitful promotion at the Ukrainian market. Furthermore, during the Forum the representatives of the Polish party had an opportunity to visit SE “AVAKON” facilities, where, most probably, the foundations for the further co-operation were laid.

As early as in December 2013, Ukrainian and Polish companies reached an agreement on the issue of contract conclusion. And on the 22nd of January, 2014 Contract for delivery of night vision goggles and aviation helmets to the Armed Forces of Ukraine to be used by crews of Mi-type helicopters was signed. On behalf of PCO S.A. the Contract was signed by Irena Rdzanek, the Member of the Board, Business and Financial Director and on the part of SE "АVIAKON" - by Anatoliy Butsan, the Director of the enterprise. The presence Bartosz Musialowicz, the Head of Economic Section of Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, at the formalities can be considered as an evidence of the Contract importance for the Polish side.
